In the 12th round of the ACB league, Barcelona suffered their second loss of the season as Baskonia cruised past the Catalans in Palau Blaugrana with a 91-78 win.

Barcelona came into the game after an overtime win over Anadolu Efes in Istanbul in the Euroleague on Thursday and their tiredness was obvious from the start of the game.

Steven Enoch led Baskonia with 23 points followed by Matt Costello with 19. As usual, Nikola Mirotic was the top scorer at Barca with 20 points.

The visitors won the first quarter by 22-12 and kept the lead until the end of the game. This was Baskonia’s first win since Neven Spahija took over the coaching position after Dusan Ivkovic was fired in November.

Unlike Barcelona, Real Madrid was dominant against Casademont Zaragoza winning by 86-65 on the road.

The home team kept the pace with Real, leading by 1 at halftime but Pablo Laso’s team took off in the second half for a 21-point win.

Sergio Llull and Thomas Huertel were the only Madrid’s player who scored in double-digits with Llull having 17 points while the French point guard 13.

Stan Okoye was the leading scorer for Zaragoza with 15 points.

The most interesting game score-wise, was between BAXI Manresa and Tenerife in which the home team won 95-93 after overtime.

Manresa came into the fourth quarter with an eight-point lead but Tenerife managed to come back and with Marcelinho Huertas’ free throws to send the game to overtime. Both teams exchanged buckets in the overtime until Dani Perez scored at the buzzer for Manresa’s seventh win of the season.

Chima Moneke was the top scorer for Zaragoza with 22 points and Joe Thomasson had 19. Fran Guerra had 20 for Tenerife.
