Euroleague 2021/22 Rosters
Euroleague teams are forming their lineups for next season. The lineups are not final but one should not expect too much change. On this occasion, we bring you the rosters of all teams that will participate in the Euroleague 2021/22.
Alba Berlin
The 15th-placed team from the previous season brought two new players from Israel this summer. These are Tamir Blatt(12.2 pts, 8.0 assists) and Yovel Zoosman(3.4 pts, 1.9 assists). These players arrive from Hapoel Jerusalem and Maccabi Tel Aviv. Oscar da Silva(16.6 pts), Jaleen Smith(15.2 pts, 5.2 assists) also arrived in Berlin. The biggest loss for this team is certainly the departure of the legendary coach Aito. Fontecchio and Granger went to Baskonia. Giffey moved to Zalgiris while Peyton Siva is a free agent for now. The coach is Israel Gonzales.
Anadolu Efes
The champion from the Euroleague 2020/21 was not overly active this summer. Efes did not have any big reason to bring in new players. Filip Petrusev(23.7 pts, 7.6 rebounds), the MVP of the ABA League, came to Istanbul. Young player Dzanan Musa moved to Spain to Breogan. The experienced Sertac Sanli will be a member of Barcelona from next season. Like in the previous season the coach is Ergin Ataman.
AS Monaco Basket
Monaco is a team that will play in the Euroleague for the first time in its history. They will be led by the man who leads Monaco for the second time, Zvezdan Mitrovic. The line-up has completely changed compared to last season, so the following arrived in the principality this summer: Mike James(19.3 pts, 5.7 assists), Will Thomas(9.3 pts, 4.8 rebounds), Danilo Andjusic(17.4 pts), Jerry Boutsiele(13.6 pts, 6.9 rebounds), Alpha Diallo(12.5 pts, 5.5 rebounds), Ibrahima Fall-Faye(8.3 pts, 5.3 rebounds), Donta Hall(10.2pts, 8.3 rebounds), Paris Lee(14.9 pts, 7.8 assists), Donatas Motiejunas(21.5 pts, 13.7 rebounds), Brock Motum(41,3% three-point shooting), Yakuba Ouattara(9.1 pts, 4.1 rebounds), Armel Traore(15.4 pts, 4.6 rebounds), Leo Westermann(2.7 pts). Only two players remain from last season and those are Rob Gray and Rudy Demahis-Ballou.
Asvel
Like Monaco and the other French representative, Asvel changed the lineup almost completely in the following season. Only Lighty and Diot remained. The following players arrived in Lyon: Kostas Antetokounmpo( limited minutes in Lakers), James Gist(5.6 pts, 3.3 rebounds), Youssoupha Fall(7.0 pts, 62,8 % two-point shooting), Chris Jones(7.0 pts, 2.8 assists), Raymar Morgan(17.6 pts, 6.4 assists), Elie Okobo(8.9 pts, 5.0 assists), Dylan Osetkowski(17.9 pts, 52% three-point shooting), Victor Wembanyama(1.3 pts). The coach is TJ Parker.
Olimpia Milano
Last season’s participant in the final four, as every season, always brought a solid number of new players. Nicolo Melli(3.5 pts, 2.7 rebounds) returned to the club this summer. In addition to him, Jerian Grant(14.8 pts, 6.9 assists), Devon Hall(14.1 pts, 3.9 assists), Davide Alviti(10.5 pts, 4.6 assists), Troy Daniels(4.2 pts), Konstantinos Mitoglou(9.3 pts, 57.5 pts two-point shooting), and Giampaolo Ricci(6.4 pts, 66.7% two-point shooting) also arrived in the city of fashion. The team from Milano is still led by the legendary Ettore Messina.
Zalgiris Kaunas
Always uncomfortable Zalgiris who has one of the best atmospheres in the league this summer has been quite active when it comes to bringing in players. From last season, only Jankunas and Lekavicius remained, while two well-known faces arrived at the club, Mantas Kalnietis(8.7 pts, 7.1 assists) and Edgaras Ulanovas(4.5pts), and there are also Tyler Cavanaugh(7.8 pts, 46.6% three-point shooting), Niels Giffey(8.1 pts, 41, 8 three-point shooting), Janis Strelnieks(4.4 pts), Josh Nebo(13.6 pts, 9.9 rebounds) and former NBA player Emmanuel Mudiay(7.2 pts). The coach is Jure Zdovc.
CSKA Moscow
The team from Moscow has the greatest possible ambitions every season, and the participants in the final four from last season had no reason to bring many players. Former NBA player Kenneth Faried(12.0 pts, 9.3 rebounds) came to Moscow. One of the best scorers in the Euroleague, Alexey Shved(19.61 pts), returned, Marius Grigonis(13.4 pts, 45,6% three-point shooting) and Vladimir Ivlev(4.9 pts, 4.3 rebounds) also came. No important player left Moscow. Dimitris Itoudis leads the team as in previous seasons.
FC Barcelona Lassa
The runner-up from last season this summer brought only a few players into his ranks. Barcelona has a great team that was shockingly strengthened this summer by Nicolas Laprovittola(6.8 pts, 3.8 assists) from Real Madrid, and Sertac Sanli(7.8 pts, 2.2 rebounds), Nigel Hayes(8.0 pts, 3.7 rebounds), and Rokas Jokubaitis(7.0 pts, 2.5 assists) have also arrived in Catalonia. The only thing is that there is no legendary Pau Gasol who has retired. Renowned Lithuanian basketball player Sarunas Jasikevicius is still the coach of the team from Catalonia.
FC Bayern Munchen
The team from Munich narrowly missed the final four last season. This summer a handful of players came to the club intending to make Bayern one of the four best teams next season. Othello Hunter(8.0 pts, 5.3 rebounds), Darrun Hilliard(8.7 pts, 2.0 rebounds), Ognjen Jaramaz(9.5 pts, 2.6 assists), Joshua Obiesie(5.1 pts), Andreas Obst(11.0 pts, 51.1% three-point shooting), Marvin Ogunsipe(2.4 pts), Augustine Rubit(8.1 pts, 4.2 pts), Gavin Schilling(10.9 pts, 7.5 rebounds), DeShaun Thomas(16.6 pts, 4.7 rebounds), and Corey Walden(10.5 pts, 39.0% three-point shooting) arrived in Bavaria. As in previous seasons, the team is led by Andrea Trinchieri.
Fenerbahce
From next season, the club will be led by the celebrated Serbian basketball player and then the selector Aleksandar Djordjevic. Boby Dixon is no longer in the team, but there are still Vesely, De Colo, Mahmutoglu, Guduric who received reinforcements this summer in players such as Achille Polonara(12.2 pts, 44.3 % three-point shooting), Pierria Henry(10.5 pts, 7.3 assists), Marial Shayok(18.9 pts, 6.9 rebounds), Devin Booker(13.1 pts, 5.7 rebounds), Metecan Birsen(8.9 rebounds, 5.4 rebounds), Ismet Akpinar(10.8 pts).
Maccabi Tel Aviv
The pride of Israel in the last few seasons has not been very successful in the Euroleague. Quite unexpectedly, after a disappointing previous season, a lot of players came to the club. Mathias Lessort(10.8 pts, 5.6 rebounds), James Nunnally(48,5 % three-point shooting), Jalen Reynolds(13.6 pts), Kameron Taylor(13.9 pts, 5.3 rebounds), Derrick Williams(9.0 pts, 3.1 rebounds), Yiftah Ziv(12.3 pts, 4.9 rebounds), Roman Sorkin(13.4, 7.2), Jake Cohen(8.2 pts, 3.8 rebounds), Keenan Evans(18.5 pts, 6.4 assists) arrived in Tel Aviv. Omri Casspi and TJ Cline are no longer on the team. The team from Israel is still led by Ioannis Sfairopoulos.
Olympiacos Piraeus
Olympiacos did not make a name for themselves in the previous season. This year they will surely try to be among the eight best teams. Moustapha Fall(8.8 pts, 5.5 rebounds), Tyler Dorsey(11.2 pts), Michalis Lountzis(6.7 points, 3.1 rebounds), and Thomas Walkup(8.2 pts, 4.5 assists) arrived at the club. Next season, there will be no legendary Vassilis Spanoulis who has retired as well as former Sacramento Kings player Kostas Koufos. The coach is Georgios Bartzokas.
Panathinaikos Athens
As for the big city rival of the previously mentioned team, which had the most disappointing previous season, Jeremy Evans(8.0 pts, 4.8 rebounds), Jehyve Floyd(11.4 pts, 7.9 pts), Daryl Macon(18.2 pts, 3.7 assists), Kendrick Perry(16.1 pts, 6,1 assists), Vasilis Kavvadas(12.3 pts, 8.9 rebounds), Okaro White(10.1 pts, 5.4 rebounds) arrived in the green part of Athens. Vougioukas, Mack, and Bray left the team. As of this season, the team from Athens is led by Dimitris Priftis.
Real Madrid
Real certainly always has the highest ambitions. This year they will try to reach what they missed last season. Two former Barcelona players, Adam Hanga(4.6 pts, 2.2 steals) and Thomas Heurtel(14.4 pts, 6.2 assists), have joined the club, and in addition to them, Vincent Poirier(11.9 pts, 8.3 points), Nigel Williams Goss( 17.0 pts, 5.2 assists), and Guerschon Yabusele( 11.0 pts, 4.2 rebounds) will also play in Madrid next season. The celebrated Felipe Reyes will not play for the royal club next season. Real Madrid is still led from the bench by Pablo Laso.
Baskonia
As for the team from Vitoria, next season we will not have the opportunity to watch Zoran Dragic. Vanja Marinkovic(8.5 pts, 46.9 % three-shooting point), Jayson Granger(8.1 points, 4.9 assists), Simone Fontecchio(10.6 pts, 3.4 rebounds), Steven Enoch(9.6 pts, 4.3 rebounds), Matt Costello(10.2 pts, 45% three-point shooting), Wade Baldwin IV(15.3 pts, 4.0 assists), Landry Nnoko(7.1 pts, 5.2 rebounds) have joined the team this summer.
Unics Kazan
Unics is returning to the Euroleague next season after a few years break and wants to present itself in the best possible light. It has brought a large number of players this summer. Mario Hezonja(10.7 pts), O.J. Mayo(19.6 pts), Lorenzo Brown(9.5 pts, 3.5 assists), Tonye Jekiri(6.0 pts, 4.9 rebounds), Artem Komolov(11.6 pts, 45.0 % three-point shooting), Marco Spissu(13.0 pts, 5.5 assists), Evgeny Valiev(3.7 pts), Andrey Vorontsevich(10.5 pts, 5.7 rebounds), and Viacheslav Zaytsev(5.1 pts), Jarrel Brantley(2.2 pts) arrived in Kazan. The coach is Velimir Perasovic.
Zenit St. Petersburg
Like the previously mentioned rival from Russia, Zenit has also strengthened a lot this summer. Sergey Karasev(5.7 pts), Conner Frankamp(15.7 pts, 3.5 assists), Dmitrii Kulagin(12.7 pts, 3.1 rebounds), Mindaugas Kuzminskas(12.4 pts, 4.4 rebounds), Jordan Loyd(17.3 pts, 3.6 rebounds), Jordan Mickey(15.6 pts, 5.8 rebounds), Shabazz Napier(11.6 pts, 3.8 rebounds) came to the club that did great last season in the quarterfinals with Barcelona. The team from St. Petersburg is still led by Xavi Pascual.
KK Crvena Zvezda Beograd
The team that finished last season in the penultimate place actually brought a new team as a whole. Austin Hollins(8.2 pts), Nikola Ivanovic(7.0 pts, 3.6 assists), Nikola Kalinic(10.4 pts, 3.4 rebounds), Stefan Lazarevic(10.9 pts, 5.1 rebounds), Luka Mitrovic(2.7 pts), Aaron White(7.3 pts, 4.0 rebounds), Maik Zirbes(5.8 pts), and Nate Wolters( 7.1 pts, 43.3 % three-point shooting) arrived at the club this summer. The coach is Dejan Radonjic.
